Description
The inner-society Council was created in 1929. Its purpose was to form stronger
relationships between women's organizations on campus and to formulate and submit
inter-society regulations regarding new members and functions. Membership on the
council consisted of the officers and advisors of existing women's organizations. After
several of the groups joined national sororities, the name of this group was changed to the
Intersorority Council. In 1956, the council became affiliated with the National
Panhellenic Council and changed its name to the Panhellenic Council.
