Description
Writing about poetry is ultimately a pretext for expression; an
angle into things. To look closely at a poem that might not be of a style or construct that
is familiar can be a challenging and fruitful endeavor. It not only keeps and open-mindedness
that is essential for any student/critic/practitioner of the art, but allows the
writer's thinking into the area time and time again between the material and the spiritual;
it makes the flame of wonder ignited and allows the subtle ( or not so subtle) moments of
''wow'' to come back to us time and again with the discovery of each new rich poetic
statement we come across.
