The History of Geology Teaching at Public Higher Education Institutions in River Falls Wisconsin.
Abstract
A history of the teaching of geology, as it has been practiced, from 1847 to 2020 at a succession of institutions of higher learning located in River Falls, Wisconsin. This document describes the individuals involved in this endeavor, graduation rates, participation in general education, honors and benefactors, the River Falls Geological Society and its speakers since 1983, the yearly Regional Field Trip, participation in similar trips held in Wisconsin and surrounding states, and participation in the Science Olympiad and overseas studies offered by the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.
