    Abstract
    This presentation was delivered to psychology classes at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University in Kyiv and Poltava, Ukraine, in April 2019. The presentation discusses the importance of experiences in nature for our mental health as well as impacts on child development and environmental protection. The need to design cities with children’s needs in mind is also presented.
