High school students of instrumental music encounter ever increasing scaler resources in performance. Instructional materials to assist students are few. This thesis provides a review of pre-existing teaching methods and materials dealing with diatonic modes followed by information about diatonic modes and a set of short etudes for high school-aged bassoon students.
