Synthesis of Smart Polymer-Grafted Silica and Confocal Microscopy

Abstract

By grafting polymers from colloids, properties of both can be combined and unwanted characteristics can be minimized. Smart polymer-grafted silica has potential applications in 3D printing as a colloidal ink and in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) working as a smart colloidal surfactant.
