dc.description.abstractPerformance evaluations must be viewed as an integral part of a manager's responsibility to their employees. The purpose of a performance evaluation is to ensure that managers and their direct reports have a clear and mutual understanding of the job functions being performed, the standards set by the organization and the current state of performance by the employee.
