    Description
With the age of Telematics and "compunications" at hand, many new information technologies are being developed. Viewdata is one of the information systems to emerge from the marriage of computer and telecom munication technology. Viewdata, still in its infancy, may develop into a major information medium of the 1980's. Much research and development so far has been dedicated towards making viewdata an information utility of domestic and public markets. Only recently, has the emphasis began to shift towards the possibility that viewdata may be more readily acceptable and have its major impact on organizations and business. Acknowledging the reality that Viewdata can have an impact upon information system in organizations, the author will direct the study in this direction. Specifically, the author will examine how viewdata can help improve the transmission and retrieval of information in organizations.
