Sex Differences in the Focusing Illusion

Abstract

In the current study, we aimed to document the focusing illusion in four contexts. We aimed to manipulate people's perceptions of their general life happiness by drawing their attention to their relative mate value, ambition, physical attractiveness, and number of short-term sex partners.
