Description
: In her 2015 interview with Pat Calchina, Jane Liess details her early college years at Wellesley (1971-1972), participation in a lesbian group called the Medeline Society, attendance at Daughters of Bilitis meetings in Boston and her sponsorship of the first lesbian dance at Wellesley College. The bulk of the interview discusses her return to the Midwest (she was originally from the Chicago area), her attendance at UW Madison, connection with Women in the Trades and her work as an electrician. The last half of the interview is a discussion of Jane?s life with her animals: horses, dogs and cats and what they mean to her.
