Oral History Interview: Manucer Javid (0689)
Abstract
In this 2004 interview, Dr. Manucher Javid describes his medical career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Taking place between 1922 to 2004, Dr. Javid discusses the topics of the Baha’i faith, growing up in Iran during World War II, coming to the United States from Tehran, his medical education in the United States, his medical career at Dartmouth and then UW-Madison, his many colleagues at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the making of the Department of Neurosurgery at UW-Madison, and some interfaculty disputes in the medical school. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Archives & Records Management oral history collection.
