Description
In her 2014 interview with Harv Thompson, Maryo Gard Ewell, and Anne Pryor, professor emerita of dance Karen Cowan discusses her early years in northern Wisconsin and her career at the University of Wisconsin Extension. Cowan discusses her role in community outreach and dance education from the 1950s through the 2000s. Cowan also details the influences of Robert Gard on the UW-Extension Arts program during his tenure. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
