Journey to the Stones : Plein Air Drawing in Orkney, Scotland

Abstract

University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire art students journeyed to the Scottish isles of Orkney, working en plein air whilst cultivating technical and observational drawing abilities. The purpose of this study was to capture and portray the Orcadian landscape and culture through on-site drawings.
