Synthesis and Characterization of Flavothiones and Corresponding Metal Complexes for the Use of Photodegradable Pesticides

Abstract

Photodegradable pesticides are a promising solution to the problems posed by the use of synthetic chemicals in the environment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the synthesis and characterization of new flavothiones and their related metal complexes to be used as photodegradable pesticides.
