    Abstract
The amount of aggressive crimes committed in the United States has increased in recent years, which is why it is important for people to be aware of others around them, or possibly avoid them altogether by using person perception of threat. The purpose of this study was to examine whether threat is perceived differentially depending upon type of criminal and whether this perception differs as a function of facial expression.
