Materials in this bibliography are arranged roughly by subject and within these chronologically. The subject divisions, which have been developed over many years, are probably somewhat arbitrary and perhaps also too broadly defined. To make this bibliography manageable, entries are limited to studies published since 1975, with a few exceptions.
