Description
In his 2012 interview with Sarah Neddo, Lloyd Schaefer talks about his experiences in the conservative community of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He shares the story of his religious upbringing and how he ended up at Union Congregational UCC Church in Green Bay. He also talks about Positive Voice a group he has been very involved with since the 1980s. . He discusses the following topics: The evolution of Positive Voice, Green Bay?s Gay Bar scene, the community response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, the open and affirming process of the local UCC Church in the late 90s, and the PrideAlive festival of Green Bay.
