    Abstract
    In his June 2012 interview with Christine Haas, Maitreya Dutta talks about his upbringing in India. He details his experiences growing up in boarding school, the educational path that led him to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his experiences as a gay man. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the LGBTQ+ project of the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
