    Abstract
    In her 2012 interview with Jackie Bolduan, Sandy Brown discusses her upbringing in Missouri and her military background. She also details her experiences in a small town as an LGBTQ+ individual, LGBTQ+ media representation, LGBTQ+ issues and HIV/AIDS stigma in small town Wisconsin, and LGBTQ+ rights and activism in Wisconsin (including the activism she was a part of). This interview was conducted for inclusion into the LGBTQ+ oral history project in the UW-Madison Archives & Records Management oral history collection.
