    Abstract
    Dioxygenase enzymes catalyze critical reactions in the body and the environment. The aim of this study was to synthesize iron (II) salen and nickel (II) salen coordination complexes and characterize them by using mass spectrometry, UV/Vis and IR spectroscopy.
