Concentrations of cadmium, manganese, and zinc in liver tissue of common carp (Cyprinus Carpio) from Lake Pepin, navigation pool no. 4, upper Mississippi River

Abstract

Concentrations of Cd, Mn, and Zn were determined for liver tissue of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) from Lake Pepin in Navigation Pool No.4 of the Upper Mississippi River. Effects of length, weight, condition factor, sex, and season on metal concentrations were evaluated. Fish were collected from the north end of the lake on three dates over approximately a one year period from the summer of 1980 through the summer of 1981.
