Description
In his April 2011 interview with Matt Oleson, Paul Dolan shared his thoughts and memories as a member of the United States Marine Corps, undergrad student at UW-Madison, and President of the Vets for Vets Student Organization on campus. As a Marine Officer from 2002 to 2009, Paul related his experiences in basic training, working as a radar technician in Japan, working as U.S. Embassy security in the Netherlands, Panama, Cuba, and Finland, and working security detail at the 2007 International G8 Summit in Germany. From 2009 to the present time, Paul tells his experiences of being a student returning from the military and being the leader of the Vets for Vets Student Organization. This interview was conducted for inclusion in the Badger Veterans project and is being stored in the Oral History Collection at the UW-Madison Archives.
