    Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude of the Wisconsin State University-La Cross student body toward its student newspaper, the Racquet. For a student publication to be effective in reaching, enlightening and influencinq its readers, the paper must be regarded positively by those readers. It was hvpothesized that the students do have a positive attitude toward the paper, but their attitude becomes less sensitive the longer they are enrolled in college. The problem investigated in this study was to ascertain the overall attitude of the student body toward the Racquet, and also to determine whether any differences in attitude existed among freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
