    Abstract
This report examines the role that public and academic library partnerships can play in meeting the needs of Milwaukee Public Library?s existing patrons, as well as drawing in a more diverse population of users. Examples of successful library partnership models from across the U.S. are considered to help inform the analysis. This report includes a recommendation for Milwaukee Public Library to institute a strong service-learning program in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University, and Madison Area Technical College
