    Abstract
    A poster containing visuals and text describing an undergraduate research project completed at the University of Wisconsin--Whitewater. This project asks questions about how play based activities versus teacher directed activities affect kindergarten students' engagement and what are kindergarten teachers' perspectives on play in the classroom. Observation and interviews were used to answer the questions.
