    Abstract
This investigation determined the efficacy of resistance training with think-handled barbells and dumbbells. Twenty two experienced male weightlifters were randomly assigned to groups that exercised either with increased grip circumferences or normal grip circumferences. Each group performed an identical 6 week resistance training program. Body weight, forearm circumference, hand dynamometer, chinup repetition maximum, and standard 1 repetition maximum bench press and deadlift tests were administered pre-and posttraining.
