    Abstract
The purpose for this research study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer training within the Regional Office of the American Cancer Society. Since the American Cancer Society is a non-profit organization, it is funded by various events that take place throughout the year. These events wouldn’t be successful without the volunteers who assist with implementing the events to complete success. The research analyzes the effectiveness of the American Cancer Society employees along with the volunteers that assist with the organization. The research study conducted two survey instruments for both the employees and volunteers. The study determined that the training program within the American Cancer Society was a significant part for the entire organization and for everyone involved.
