    Abstract
The primary purpose of this field study was to research the various approaches of a proficient training and development restructure for the purpose of redesigning the training and development department at Schreiber Foods, Inc. The restructure provides a strategic approach in designing a knowledge system that will build customer and shareholder value. This allows the department to better meet the needs of the organization. This research paper is organized into five chapters. Chapter one begins with the background information and purpose of the study. A comprehensive review of the literature was conducted and will be shared in the second chapter. The research methods and procedures used are described in chapter three. Chapter four sums up the analysis of the findings. Finally, the last chapter concludes with a summarization, conclusion and recommendations of chapters one through four.
