    Abstract
This paper examines Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. More specifically, the aim of this paper is to discuss some of the many operational definitions of ADHD. In addition, this work focuses on the history, etiology, treatments, and interventions within the paradigm of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. An extensive review of the current ADHD/ADD literature was conducted and condensed into this thesis. In the final chapter, assertions are made toward the need for reform in how the medical and psychiatric communities deal with this extremely controversial and misunderstood disorder.
