dc.description.abstractThe authors examine the political economy of the textile and garment sectors in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal to determine the consequences of the expiration of the Multi-Fiber Agreement. The authors find that India and Pakistan are likely to benefit, while Nepal is likely to suffer. The expected effects on Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are ambiguous.en
