    Abstract
    Mathematical attitudes and achievement vary gretly amongst incoming college freshmen. Factors such as race, gender and socioeconomic status impact student performance and attitudes in mathematics and have already been studies by others. Which factor or factors in combination are the most influential was the focus of this study.
