    Abstract
    The purpose of this educational research study was to describe the influence of participating in a short-term cultural diverse nursing clinical immersion experience on students' level of cultural competence. The study focuses on a week-long clinical opportunity at a free standing birth center in Texas, near the border of Mexico.
