The purpose of this paper was to trace the development of boys' interscholastic athletics at Cashton High School, Cashton, Wisconsin. The most notable reasons for this study were to provide tangible evidence of the accomplishments of the athletes, teams and coaches, and to observe the strides forward the athletes had made. The history is divided into three time periods. The first spanned the years from inception of athletes in 1905 to 1928. The second begins in 1928 with the affiliation in the Monroe-Vernon Conference and extends to the spring of 1958. The final period begins in the fall of 1958 when conference affiliation was changed to the present day Scenic Central Conference. A chronological narrative approach was used in the study with pertinent incidents mentioned whenever they were appropriate.
