| dc.description.abstract | National political, social, and economic movements have had a long history in the United States. The women’s movement has been one of the largest in the 20th century. As national movements occur they began to impact smaller cities across the U.S., different institutions, and many different people. The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire was part of the national women’s movement. A look at primary sources and comparing them to overall movements proves that the UWEC was involved in changes in abortion and contraception during the early 1970s when some of the greatest social and political changes took place. | en |
