About Me

I have been working as a Project Manager for Epic Systems, a leading developer of electronic health record systems, since early 2007. Working with IT project leaders within client health care organizations, I help orchestrate large, expensive projects from initial design stages through completed implementation. Part of that process involves working hand in hand with the client's lead physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals, to help them design, build and implement an efficient, safe, and easy to use system. My work with several large, academic health care organizations throughout the country has helped thousands of doctors, nurses, residents, med students, and other health care providers take the lead in providing top-notch care for millions of patients. Each day is like a lesson in Industrial Engineering, touching areas in human factors, such as job satisfaction, organizational design and improvement, etc., as well as more traditional IE areas, such as process improvement and quality. I am also an active outdoorsman, enjoying anything outside, including fishing, hunting, swimming, and especially waterskiing.
