Founded in 1963, the CCBC is jointly funded by the UW-Madison School of Education and by the Department of Public Instruction. Collection and service strengths include trends in book publishing, book evaluation, intellectual freedom, alternative press publishing for young readers, multicultural literature, and outreach services to Wisconsin teachers and librarians.
